A pedestrian bridge located at 180th Street that spans North Creek and links the Cloverdale Greenway to the Clayton Greenway is part of B.C.'s LocalMotion program's first round of funding.
This greenway will also connect the Provincetown area (North Cloverdale West) and a new school, which will begin construction in late 2007.
Local MLAs Dave Hayer (Surrey-Tynehead) and Transportation Minister Kevin Falcon (Surrey-Cloverdale) were on hand for the $450,000 provincial funding announcement in April, 2007.
Surrey is one of 26 communities across British Columbia that are receiving $18.9 million in the first round of the Province's LocalMotion program, to build bicycle paths, trails and walkways, support community playgrounds and improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
