Improvements to Saanich trails, crossings and sidewalk infrastructure over a 15-km distance for recreation and commuting opportunities to access schools, shops and recreation centres is part of B.C.'s LocalMotion program's first round of funding.
The Province's contribution for the Saanich project is $550,000.
Saanich is one of 26 communities across British Columbia that are receiving $18.9 million in the first round of the Province's LocalMotion program, to build bicycle paths, trails and walkways, support community playgrounds and improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
