The Province's LocalMotion program is providing a $1,168,235 grant towards the construction of 10 km of paved accessible pathway with bridges, boardwalks, retaining walls, fencing and pedestrian crossings at roadways.
When complete, the Gardner Park to Exhibition Park greenway will be part of a 30+ km urban trail network.
Abbotsford is one of 26 communities across British Columbia that are receiving $18.9 million in the first round of the Province's LocalMotion program, to build bicycle paths, trails and walkways, support community playgrounds and improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
