Campbell River receives $50,000 in LocalMotion funding to construct sidewalks in the Sandowne Elementary School area, making it easier for students and their parents to walk to and from school.
LocalMotion has provided $40 million for capital projects that reduce community greenhouse gas emissions, improve accessibility for seniors and people with disabilities, and support community actions to advance the ActNow BC principle of being more physically active.
Under the cost-share program, the Province has provided local governments with up to 50 per cent funding for approved projects.
